31 October 1992 - Kyalami

2 Heats of 8 laps each

The championship had still not been decided by the time this race meeting took place and it was down to the wire between Deon Joubert, who was leading the overall championship, and Terry Moss in the class A Audi. Tony Viana was still absent due to his illness.

In the deciding second heat, Joubert got away ahead of the Wilford and Dunkerley. It was a tight race between Joubert and Wilford for a number of laps until Joubert started to extend his lead. Moss spun the Audi S4 into the straight on lap seven, destroying his championship chances in the process. Joubert finished the race ahead of Wilford, taking the class B prize and the overall championship for 1992.
