14 September 1991 - East London

2 Heats of 8 laps each

This race saw the return of Ivor Raasch in his Mazda RX7, but the fastest class B qualifying time was set up by Johan Coetzee, followed by Joubert and then Viana. Coetzee led from the start, chased by Viana, who finished the race with a chunked left rear tyre. Joubert retired half distance with an undiagnosed problem. With new tyres fitted for heat two, Viana managed to fend off Coetzee and take first place, setting up a new class B lap record. Joubert disappeared again with the same mystery problem, allowing Dunkerley to take third place in his Porsche.
